Hi! I have some problems with playernav in Player/Stage 2.0.3. This problem is similar to http://www.nabble.com/Playernav-problemns-tf367665.html#a1016464 Playernav problems but when I've used attached file in this topic http://www.nabble.com/attachment/1032490/0/wavefront.cfg wavefront.cfg it didn't work. In terminal I have something like this: --- user@userpc: playernav /usr/local/share/stage/worlds/wav.cfg playerc error : gethostbyname failed with error [Connection timed out] Failed to connect to /usr/local/share/stage/worlds/wav.cfg:6665 playernav: playernav.c:387: main: Assertion `gui_data.mclient = init_player(gui_data.clients, gui_data.maps, gui_data.localizes, gui_data.planners, gui_data.num_robots, gui_data.hostnames, gui_data.ports, 2, map_idx, planner_idx)' failed. Aborted (core dumped) --- I don't know what does it means. Try adding 'alwayson 1' to the wavefront driver in your .cfg file. brian. |

I've thought that errors are caused by wavefront driver, but when I've started simple.cfg included in Stage, I have errors the same like 'alwayson 0' I've using Ubuntu 7.04, debian-based distribution. This is probably because Player was not yet finished with initialization of the drivers. Try giving Player more time to start up, especially if you have a big map (the configuration space calculation in the wavefront driver is very slow). In particular, wait until Player says, "Listening on ports:" before starting playernav. brian. |
