Dear all, Have anyone of you seen a gazebo project used for simulation of manipulat= or, or even a robotic hand - focusing on let say grasping of objects, interac= tions between robots, etc .... Mostly what I saw that gazebo is used only for mobile platforms and navig= ation in rough terrain or to create multilevel maps. But that is all what I hav= e seen so far ... nothing else impressive. So I am curious whether gazebo h= as other purpose than only mobile platforms - if so can you give me links to= such projects. Thanks in advance - it is really hard to find them on internet. I just wondered whether Gazebo can be used not only for navigation, but a= lso for interactions with enviroment (I mean grasping, squeezing, handling co= ntact forces, ... - not only pushing objects by mobile platforms). You could take a look at some of the projects that my colleagues and I are developing here at the IAS@TUM: AwareKitchen and Cogito. (http://awarekitchen.cs.tum.edu/, http://cogito.cs.tum.edu/). Sorry for the pages not being up-to-date, but our "webmaster" is always on vacation these days ;) We're also planning future integration of our projects into P/S/G, ranging from 3D perception and mapping to manipulation-related things. If you are really interested, perhaps my colleagues, Alexis and Armin can tell you more about the manipulation part. Perhaps more work could be done to integrate things like Grasp-It with Gazebo?
