In several game I tried to save for a development card,
only to find out that all were already bought by the
other players.
A simple count-down counter near the 'Play Card' button
would help.
To mimic the real game, it is probably best to see it count
down only when there aren't so many left, say about 5.
Before that, there's just "lots of cards".
This is similar to the bank counters for the year of plenty
dialog (which perhaps also should start at 5, not 2, because
you may want to try to empty it even when you can't succeed
completely yet).

Yes - I got stung by this too! can the toolbar button adopt a third colour - black, grey, and then red (for no more available in the game)?
