I posted a bug report on this but was told you prefer to have these sent to the mailing list. In version 0.76 the away message button in the lower right of the main buddylist window changed. It now pops up a menu with: New Away Message Remove Away Message -------------------------------- Custom Back Visible Invisible The Custom menu pops up the list of all saved away messages. Selecting one of these will then make that message the current away message. The Remove Away Message pops up the exact same list of all saved away messages. Selecting on of these will then delete that away message from the list of saved away messages. The behavior and visual cues of the two dialogs are absolutely identical in every way, but their affects are very different. Unfortunately I have lost a couple of away messages because of this. Personally I don't see much need for a remove away message dialog in such a prominent place, but I am a little bit of an away message collector. At the very least could we have a confirmation dialog before deleting the saved away messages. On a related note perhaps a string change would be helpful it took me a moment or two to figure out what "Custom" did, perhaps "Saved Messages" or "Set Saved Message" would be more descriptive. One final comment. The New Away Message dialog introduces a formatting toolbar. It used to be fairly easy to set a new message by just: typing a title TAB typing the text TAB TAB TAB ENTER Now you unfortunately have to tab through the formatting toolbar set title TAB TAB TAB TAB TAB TAB.... Perhaps the new message should have focus on the message body text widget, either that or move the formatting toolbar to the ?side? so that it wont be within the tab order between message body and the SAVE/USE buttons.
