Conrad (t98502) >Assigned to: Mark Doliner (thekingant) Summary: Limit framerate of buddy icons Initial Comment: On my machine, a buddy with an animated icon is able to use all my CPU time if it has a frame delay set to 0 ms. This patch makes the minimum frame rate 10 frames/second. At around this point, the animation doesn't use much of my CPU. Also, this patch makes gaim respect when GDK says that a frame should be the last frame in the animation. It will stop the animation. Thirdly, for some inexplicable reason, the delay of the first frame was rounded to the nearest 10 ms. I couldn't think of a reason why this would be done, so I removed the rounding.... (Maybe it was because it was not handling the delay of -1 properly). Hopefully this will work with older versions of GDK. I'm using GTK+ v.2.6.2 [Note that this patch was against head. All but the patch to the changelog file should apply to the oldstatus branch too]. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=300235&aid=1152367&group_id=235 |
