I'm not sure I like inventing new markup, that seems like its asking for 
bugs where remote parties end up passing us our internal markup. So I 
think I like of like the function call approch better. Either way its 
gtkconv telling the imhtml that certain text is special, One way just 
requires extra string cats and extra filtering to prevent abuse.

But you seem to feel the opposite? Why?
