I think this is one pref we should complete, i think its an important
one as the previous preferences weren't all that great.

i do not really understand why this isn't desirable, if you are setting
a foreground color, you really ought to send a background color as well
to ensure that its just as read-able on the other end as it is for you.

presumably if you don't explicetly change this, the default is fine for
font size. this isn't true of font color and bg color since you might
concievably think that you would be sending matching your gtk theme, we
should probly force a white back/black fore in that test area when
nothing is set.

that seems wierd to me, are you currently using your font magnification
option in that extra prefs plugin?
