That's why I think we should keep both dba and flatfile. *cough*sqlite*cough* If you're going to go with a DB out-of-the-box, (and I'm not saying that's a good or bad thing), I can't imagine an easier type to support than SQLite. It's built-in for PHP5, the PECL module for php4 is simple to install... it's all easy. dba is dying, we should leave it to it's quiet death. There's big, stinky bugs in the dba implementations in newer versions of PHP which many people apparently just don't want to deal with. - Matt |
