I'll chime in for conversation sake. I don't particularly think they are too useful anymore. 1. As SE develop, dynamic pages are less of a problem. Google indexes them fine. Ink can. AltaVista can. If the SE is going to survive and be relevent, they'll probably give in. 2. Either the search result is a "doorway" page without much content, or you "cloak" the doorway page which is a no-no to the the SE's. 3. Another solution is to use apache's mod_rewrite to make some pages look static.
