IMHO A good thing.. Easier for Folks to customize, less overhead in the engine, etc... - We will be RSN, templates make customization easy and adding on a theme engine is almost trivial (the almost part is the reason it's not in 0.6, needs proper session support to work "right") I belive Joe Stewart is working on a theme engine now in conjunction with another project. This (or something like this) will be in 0.65 - phpSlash is easy to install, short of me coming to your office to install it or a one button "do it" method. The one button method is great but it can't do everything, as some point you're gonna need to "tar -zxvf someShit.tar.gz" to get it doing what you want (php modulke, cache enigne, template or block stuff, yaddah yaddah.. ) A setup script will happen someday, but not till we get the filesystem layout under control. It's not a major priority. Harry you and I have gone round-and-round on this, we disagree, and I ask if we can leave it at that, I don't really wanna arge about installation today. -n ........ nathan hruby Webmaster: UGA Department of Drama and Theatre Project Maintainer: phpSlash, Carousel nh...@ar... ........ |
