Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4644862 By: nobody Hello there, I'm a big noobish to this kind of stuff. I'm not a server admin, and since the server admin of my client is lazy, I tryied to do it. I downloaded PuTTY. Connected as a root. (of course I didn't know how to connect as root, but I manage to find out). Now I manage to read the directory where pg_hba.conf is, however, I didn't know how to read it. I found out the command ( more pg_hba.conf ) ... and I found this: # TYPE DATABASE USER CIDR-ADDRESS METHOD # "local" is for Unix domain socket connections only local all all trust # IPv4 local connections: host all all 127.0.0.1/32 trust # IPv6 local connections: host all all ::1/128 trust >From what I see this this is not good. phpPgAdmin was installed however I kept gettin the Login Failed. I don't even know what USER and PASSWORD to put there, and now i'm more confused. Acordin to the conf file, the login should be generaly and does not require password, but however I don't see the general IP that can be used so that's why I'm automaticly blocked, at least that's my guess. So, how do I login? How do I set up a login? Also if you know. How do I copy a file with PuTTY and how do I upload it back (in case I have to upload the conf file). Thanks P.S. This is my phpPgAdmin file: <?php /** * Central phpPgAdmin configuration.
