This is an often-needed feature an _all_ database admin software - it would be really nice to see it in the next release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Bernd von den Brincken (bvdb) Date: 2004-01-28 19:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=256180 "???? How the heck do you expect us to magically be able to uniquely reference one of your rows if it has no unique identifier?" Yes, and how "the heck" do you expect a _user_ to be magically able to include the OID in the SELECT if you do not offer it to him in the SELECT form (tables.php?action=confselectrows)? So the criteria for being able to edit seem to be different between browse and SELCECT-result. And, it _does_ make sense to have someone edit the contents of a DB and _not_ change the structure (like adding a primary / unique index), however wise or unwise this structure was designed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Christopher Kings-Lynne (chriskl) Date: 2004-01-15 02:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=82305 Err - phpPgAdmin DOES have this feature. You need to have a primary key or unique index on the table, however... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=418983&aid=876850&group_id=37132 |
