If you click on a table, the list scrolls to this table so its on top.
Thats annoying if you like to click one table after another or go from bottom to top.
the animation is one thing but in my opinion its annoying to have the current table always on top of the list.
for example I have to 2 tables like "order" and "order_history" and I switch between them its ok from "order" to "order_history" but I can't go back without scrolling.
It would be better to scroll the active table to the center of the screen.

Harald,
As you said if one is switching tables quickly from bottom to top, I think any scrolling may become annoying. IMHO auto scrolling is useful in case of databases only.
Besides there is highlighting still there to hint you which table you are on, which is good..

Thanks for reporting, I have deactivated auto-scrolling when clicking on tables/views.
Still, we may consider making it a configuration choice, maybe if there are further complaints.

I also noticed the same problem, see discussion on https://sourceforge.net/p/phpmyadmin/bugs/4129/

Ok, I will give feedback if there could be a better way ;-)
