The utility shows a time-based mapping of families in your GEDCOM file in Google Earth..

At the moment only one GEDCOM file is accessible and it is not possible to select individual strands of the GEDCOM.

The utility can be seen working at http://ccgi.kdepledge.plus.com/tree/ along with a .kmz file that uses the network links feature of Google Earth and gives more control over the initial view.
