I have taken the files provided by Patrick Kellum and
adapted them to work with Xoops 2.0.13.1. Just like
Patrick's patch, this patch is not fully integrated into the
Xoops environment, but it does work as a module and
use the Xoops user db. This patch includes theme
modifications to eliminate conflicts with Xoops html and
css selectors. The only theme I have not managed to
get working, yet, is the Wood theme. I did view all the
themes in both IE6/Win and FF. Only the Standard and
theme is included with the main patch. The others will
be separate (upload size restriction, I guess)

I elected to install PGV into a pgv folder instead of
phpgedview - just so you are aware.

You will still need the full distribution of PGV 3.3.5 for
the module. Download it from this site, add these files,
then upload to your Xoops modules folder. Follow the
instructions in the pgvxoops-readme.txt.

I did my best to test all the functionality, and now it's
time for you to test, as well.

Please report any problems - I will continue to work with
this.

Enjoy!

Steve

Great job on the update, you found a few bugs that I had
    given up on :)

    Thanks for working on this!

Great module, it is working well for me in xoops. A
couple of things that would be nice to have changed, the
login functions of phpGedView don't work, they should link
to the login page of xoops instead. Also, if you want to
modify a user in phpgedview to associate that user with a
person in the gedcom file, you can't save those changes.
Perhaps a field needs to be added to the xoops user
table? Anyway, it always show the person as "a" instead
of I1, (or wherever you want to link them to the gedcom.)

Thanks again for all the work, I love this module!

The latest versions of the themes have the user links
    (login/logout/admin) removed.

I have been able to assign an ID to users using the PGV
user admin, but I believe the early version of
authentication_xoops file had a problem with it. The
current version allows the change, but if there is no ID
assigned, the link is still created in the menu, which I
need to fix. (Remember, only an administrator can assign
the ID, not the average user).

Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on the project at
    http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?group_id=1278,
so check there for progress updates.
