Photo Importer / News: Recent posts

As with many Free Software projects, Photo Importer was written to scratch my itch. My itch was fairly simple: i didn't want to think about which photos i had imported from my cameras and where to. I just wanted them copied onto my hard disk into date-based folders, and i couldn't find any software that did this without requiring manual intervention.

What about photo import on Linux itches you? I'd really like to hear about it so that Photo Importer can benefit more people.
