Would it be difficult to provide a rpm version?
Another necessary thing is a small bit of documentation, specially hardware and software requirements as well as how to install the thing.
Without this, there is no hope the hopper can be install by an ordinary user.

There is no plan to create an rpm. README and INSTALL files are located in the sgml directory.
