Category: None Group: Data File Tag Pages >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Assigned to: LegacyKing (amaitland) Summary: miscinfo.lst improvements Initial Comment: The docs for miscinfo are sketchy in some places and I'd need some info. *************** Tag Name: TAB:x Variables Used (x): Text (Tab Name). What it does: * Indicates which tab the options following it will affect. Must be first on the line, to be followed by NAME and CONTEXT (and optionally VISIBLE). **************** The NAME field is generally listed as a "in_" var (ex. NAME: in_skills) After searching I found that these are defined in LanguageBundle.properties. The CONTEXT tag appears to be the file reference name for a help file for the tab. It also appears (looking at existing miscinfo files) that all of the tabs must be listed. If the gamemode doesn't use that tab then VISIBLE:NO is added but the TAB tag needs to be in the files (as opposed to deleted or commented out). If correct it would be very useful if this was noted in the docs. Comments Date: 2005-01-12 10:34 Sender: eddyanthony Logged In: YES user_id=886893 DISPLAYORDER not documented. Just need to update index to point to the new name anchors and add the tags to the index. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: LegacyKing (amaitland) Date: 2006-04-18 17:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1286039 Added/Fixed the following TAGs and Info: SPELLRANGE SPELLBASEDC DISPLAYORDER The Following Tags were already fixed/updated: ALLOWEDMODES CLASSTYPE MOVEUNIT is deleted; Move is now defined under the unitset WEIGHTUNITABBREV has been replaced by WEIGHTUNIT HEIGHTUNITABBREV has been replaced by HEIGHTUNIT Still need to be fixed: PLUSCOST not documented. BASEDICE not documented. WEAPONCATEGORY not documented. WEAPONTYPE not documented. (I don't know why we have two of these) generic DEITY: entry in miscinfo is not documented. The reason for having BONUS_ACFLAT entry in miscinfo is not documented and the tag iteself is not documented -It makes the Flat AC display correctly based upon formulas, this will have to be fixed after the freeze. The reason for having BONUS_ACTOUCH entry in miscinfo is not documented and the tag iteself is not documented -It makes the Touch AC display correctly based up formulas, again another to be fixed after the freeze. The TAB tag already exists, I don't know if the visible property is required. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: LegacyKing (amaitland) Date: 2006-04-18 12:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1286039 I'll get to work on this... I'm somewhat familiar with this particular file.
