If we change this now, all existing boards will suddenly have thicker text. Also, please include a patch (or script) to adjust the font to compensate. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of PCB Bug Team, which is subscribed to pcb. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/845466 Title: Text rendered at half the requested thickness Status in PCB: Printed Circuit Board CAD package: New Bug description: When text is present in a pcb (such as in a silkscreen), the thickness is half of that given in the SymbolLine[] of the Symbol[] block. I.e. if the SymbolLine says the text lines are 12mils wide, the result will be only 6 mils wide. This was done purposely in 2003 by DJ Delorie in commit 66592387176ba2578dfc14023a6fe49226f3a3df. Do we really want to be doing this? It doesn't really make sense to treat the text line thicknesses differently than other thicknesses (such as those of traces, say). If we want thinner text lines, we can specify those in the symbols themselves. I'm including a patch that removes this factor of 1/2.
