Having just been able to access my Password Safe, I have encountered a new problem; After making a new entry I get a message "Unable to create immediate backup" and, in fact, the new entry is not retained. How do I fix this?
Move the database (pwsafe.psafe3 - or whatever you have called it) into your "My Safes" directory in your documents directory. You probably do not have access to where it is at the moment without being Administrator.
When restarting PasswordSafe use the button next to the database name in the initial startup dialog to navigate to where you have put it and then open it as normal.
PS. You do not have to open another Support Request to give any feedback on whether it worked or not - just respond to this one!

I am experiencing the same problem since I updated to Windows 10 (the workaround above did not help). In additon, when reopening password safe, it tells me there is more than one instance of it open, even if this is not the case. I can work with the problem, but cannot save any new entries or edits! ... such as my new entry for this forum! HELP

This may be related to bug report #1063. I just reported it today (Oct/3/2012) so I know this is a response to a problem that was reported almost two years ago, but the error matches in the bug report.
The report doesn't contain a fix, but it does contain a work around.
