These are bugs I found in Ubu/Deb 0.96BETA. I just wanted to help out with your good password program.
- Pushing delete on a entry within a group does not delete the entry.
- Using "CTRL-F" to find a entry, when Pushing the "x" on the circle to the right of the entry typed in, closes the "find" toolbar.
- After some time, the "root" entry will vanish, not allowing you to open it anymore. I believe this may due to password reverting to a "green" status, requiring the user to re-login. In the ubu/deb version, it vanishes, and going to "File -> Open" creates an error saying that the password list is already being used.
- A work around to this is closing the password list (apparently it's open, but not visible) by going to "File -> close", then re-opening the same file using the "File -> Open" way.
- Some GUI bugs, such as menu items disappearing when mouse hovers over the selection.
- When creating a new entry, by preference, I liked the default size of the window to include, the "generate" button to also be visible, rather than how it is now, requiring me to re-size the window in order to see it.
I've only manage to reproduce the second item in your list, which I've fixed. This is on Debian 8.2.
What distro and platform are you using?
If you could provide a sample database illustrating the problems, that would help a lot.
I've seen the third item a few times. What I see is after restoring the minimized application is a white window where the tree should be. Like John, I've found that the only way to access my passwords when this happens is to close the database and open it again.
It's rare, so I wouldn't expect you'd be able to reproduce it.
I'm using Debian GNU/Linux (jessie) running as a VMware guest under OSX.
=> Not reproducable with WxWidgets based version 1.05BETA.
=> Fixed by Rony
=> Fix is still in review.
=> Not reproducable with WxWidgets based version 1.05BETA.
=> This was fixed by the layout improvements the dialog got in the past.
If there are no objections from anyone and the fix for the third item gets accepted this issue will be closed.
Fixed by commit [f001b89].
Thanks, Rafael. I confirmed the fixes for items #1, #2, and #5 in 1.05 (via Debian backports).
Released with 1.06BETA
