Using Windows XP Pro:

1) Start PasswordSafe. Check the "Open as read-only" checkbox. Click the "..." button next to the database name and navigate / open a database file. When returning to the "Safe Combination Entry" window, the "Open as read-only" checkbox is unchecked.

2) Start PasswordSafe. Click the "..." button next to the database name and navigate to a database file. While still in the "Please Choose a Database to Open" window, check the "Open as read-only" checkbox and navigate / open a database file. When returning to the "Safe Combination Entry" window, the "Open as read-only" checkbox is unchecked.

Just a little annoyance. Great product!!!

Thanks!

Thanks for the detailed report. This has been fixed by DrK in commit 334edc4, and will be part of the next release.

According to the release notes for v3.35, this bug has been fixed. However, in testing v3.35, I see that the second bug is fixed, but the first bug still exists.

Here are the steps to duplicate the first bug (using Windows XP Pro):

    1) Start PasswordSafe.
    2) Check the "Open as read-only" checkbox at the bottom of the "Safe Combination Entry" window.
    3) Click the "..." button at the right of the database name field at the top of the "Safe Combination Entry" window.
    4) Navigate to and open a database file.

When the open dialog box closes, you are returned to the "Safe Combination Entry" window. The "Open as read-only" checkbox that you checked in step 2 is unchecked.

    Thanks!

Why was this ticket closed? The issue still occurs as described in my post 6 days ago.
