Using Password Save v3.33 on Windows 7...
I have two database files in my directory, one with the DOS/Windows read-only flag set, the other writeable. Double-click the read-only file in Explorer to launch Password Safe to open that file, and the "Open as read-only" check box is ticked and disabled - as I expect. However if I then select the other (not read-only) file from pwsafe by selecting it from the dropdown list of previous files, the "read-only" box remains disabled and ticked, even though the files is not read-only.
If I use the "..." button to select the writable file instead of the dropdown list, the "read-only" checkbox is cleared but stays disabled.
I'm seeing this using passwordsafe-ubuntu-12.04-LTS-0.92BETA.amd64.deb on various machines too. I'll set the option in "Manage > Options > System > Open DBs read-only" but the unlock dialog does not reflect this. I have not tested the actual read-only-ness of the DBs.
Fixed for Linux/OS X (i.e. wxWidgets) on master with 0dceff2
