[OWLAPI-developer] Detecting ontology changes after reasoning

Hello, 

I’m having some problems on detecting changes in the ontology after the reasoning has finished.

Currently I'm extracting all the data back out of the ontology and then I compare it with the data that was put in.
This is in my eyes a very bad way to discover if there were any changes. I was wondering if anybody knows another (easier) way to discover if the ontology has been updated after the reasoning process is completed?

I have already noticed that there exist a listener OWLOntologyChangeListener and a filter OWLOntologyChangeFilter.
Would these notice changes during or after the reasoning or would they only detect changes like when adding axioms before the reasoning?
