There are significant numbers of allergy shots. Initially it can be every 3 days-seven days. Ultimately it ends up being once per month. So it needs to be really unlimited. The problem with putting them in prevention module is that when it comes time to print one does not get enough information. Also, I would like to see it entered into the encounter section too: Again, one entry, two places. David has the right idea, because the flow is really essential. Q. _____ From: osc...@li... It occurred to me since then however, that given the move of INR to measurement section, which gives one the ability to printout the entire thread of history of INR's, along with the changes in dosage of warfarin under the comments section, the best place for these allergy shots would be under measurements. The neat thing about it is that just as blood pressures are sent to the encounter section, the clinical decision-making process with regard to INR is also recorded in the encounter section. The same would apply of course now for allergy shots. Thus you have it recorded twice, with one entry point: Correlated nicely under measurements, and incorporated chronologically in the encounter section. Jel and Jay, would you like us to test/pilot this? Q Quentin we will need a way to deal with allergy flow sheets in the EMR. There are many different flow sheets. > >Not sure I follow. >There are essentially different ways to do it. >1. Enter the injections into the toilet roll. ALWAYS prefix it by A I for "allergy injection" or whatever prefix we decide. That way we can search using control F function for all the times that an injection has been given. >2. The only problem comes when sending the info onward, ie back to the allergist or if they take their serum elsewhere such as on holiday. We will not simply be able to copy the current form. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
