Hi John, I have looked into the Oprofile XML output. It is a possibility although it will require several extra steps (i.e. spawning a process to run opreport in order to generate XML output and then parse the XML to get the samples information.) We would like to avoid the text processing for the XML file if possible. I am wondering if the API from the discussion (http://marc.info/?l=oprofile-list&m=113465972000726&w=2) exists? And if so, can we extend the API. Have you considered using, or modifying tools, to provide XML output, then using that? The existing libraries are extremely low-level and I'd be dubious about enshrining them in an API. regards john |
