[openvrml-develop] how to load simple geometries

this is my first post to this list so first of all... Hi everybody!
I am working on a little OpenGL application, that as for now displays
just untextured spheres... I felt like it was time to expand to complex
geometries and i came across the OpenWRML homepage. 
Now I'd like to ask you if how to load a wrml file in a simple way. I
don't need (as for now) any really complex stuff, just list of vertices,
normals, texture coodinates...
is it possible? thank you for any help,
