Smrender improvement is going on :D It can now directly work on the planet file (currently ~280GB ;) Thus, we are able to produce large overview charts. I did this because I noticed that downloading huge datasets from OSM-Server(s) is either not possible or takes an endless amount of time. Smrender could also be used to just cut out huge parts of the planet file. A further improvement is that it is possible to specify numeric comparisons in the ruleset, e.g. I could render only those lights which have a range of greater than 5 nm. Here is a large example, Aegean Sea rendered for A1 paper with 300 dpi. http://lamp2.fh-stpoelten.ac.at/~lbfiser/download/aegean.pdf Best regards, Bernhard |
