Hi there, just want to post a tip for openQRM administrators who locked out themselves from the openQRM-server e.g. by forgetting the admin password. Here the steps to reset the password for the "qrm" (admin) user in the openQRM-server : 1) login to the mysql database on a console session on the openQRM-server [root@demo ~]# mysql --socket /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 13 Server version: 5.0.45-log MySQL Community Server (GPL) Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer. mysql> 2) the use the qrm db by running "use qrm" on the mysql prompt : mysql> use qrm Reading table information for completion of table and column names You can turn off this feature to get a quicker startup with -A Database changed mysql> 3) now you can reset the password for the "qrm" (admin) user by running an mysql update command : mysql> update qrm_users set user_password=MD5("qrm") where id=1; Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) Rows matched: 1 Changed: 0 Warnings: 0 mysql> ---> this will reset the password for the user "qrm" to "qrm" and you should be able to login again. hope it helps + have a great day, Matt -- www.openQRM.org - Keeps your Data-Center Up and Running Matt's blog - http://mattinaction.blogspot.com/ Please notice my Courses/Workshops for 2008 at the linuxhotel : openQRM Data-Center Management Plattform http://www.linuxhotel.de/kurs/openqrm/index.html Open Source SAN and Cluster-Filesystems http://www.linuxhotel.de/kurs/san_und_cluster_dateisysteme/index.html |
