<html><head></head><body> Hi Guys, I don't know if this should go to opennms-discuss or stay here, lemme know and I'll repost if required. Lemme just state unfortunately I can program to save my life so ... :( I have 2 suggestions, the first is around thresholding, I saw some posts about thresholding and it being a little disjointed atm and might need a rewrite. One feature that would be nice is to be able to do thresholding over time. I.e. I don't care if my CPU runs at 100%, but I do care if the CPU at been at 100% for 20min out of the last hour. or if my network utilization has changed by more than 20% up or down. And in theory this shouldn't be to difficult to do as we allready log some data to RRD or JRobin files. We could even do thresholding based on trends,I.e. lets look at what the CPU does every morning at 4, if it runs at 100% for 1 hour don't alert me as this is then norm. Or look at trends based on the day of the week. What I don't know is how much of an overhead such a feature would introduce. 2nd suggestion is wrt the interface, how about putting check/select boxes next to the hosts in the Search/Node list, with the option to select all/none and then have a dropdown list with action items such as delete nodes/rescan nodes etc etc for functions that you might want to perform on groups of hosts. Thnx for a great piece of software. Rabie PS I am running 1.3.2 (not SVN) ********************************************************************** ------ NOTICE ------ This message (including attachments) contains privileged and confidential= information intended only for the person or entity to which it is addresse= d.
