Well... two things.... 1.1.4 is a much better version than 1.1.3 and I would recommend using that version if at all possible. Be sure to read the release notes when upgrading because there are some changes the effect the webapp (in fact it may be the case since you are building from CVS and I'm not EXACTLY sure which version you are having similar problems) Second thing is... What exactly do you mean by 'crash' if you mean exceptions I would appreciate seeing the logs. (I have had some exceptions related to MBeans that have prevented Tomcat from restarting because I didn't remove the context if server.xml - the solution for this is described in the Known Issues section of the release notes available on Sourceforge). If you mean the JVM itself crashes, that is more serious. There are two causes I've seen. One is a JVM bug.. There is one that 1.1.3 exercises. 1.1.4 avoids this. The second is a problem with the JVM on the platform you are using. I don't know what platform you have, but I've seen crashes with 1.4.2 related to compat problems and such. Can you please let us know what version of Linux you are using?
