The resource filter expects a valid regular expression. If you want to match the ifAlias, the filed must be called "snmpifalias" (all lowercase, this is mandatory), and the regex should be:

^SPAN.*

In other words, apply the threshold if the ifAlias starts with the word SPAN follow by any number of characters.
