As another note, bug 3944 looks very much what I experience. I have another 1.6 system that finds the devices with no problems, despite the lack of any ifAddrTable entries. This was a 1.7 system that was upgraded to 1.8, if that helps. So - what changed between 1.6/1.7 and 1.8? Provisioning seems to find the devices, but won't graph any of my previously configured OIDs that worked in 1.6/1.7. I might have to downgrade if I can't find any resolution soon. Thanks for any assistance. Let me know if you want to see anything else that will help diagnose the problem.
