Feature Requests item #868404, was opened at 2003-12-31 14:17 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421864&aid=868404&group_id=38274 Category: General/misc Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Manuel Bilderbeek (manuelbi) Assigned to: Wouter Vermaelen (m9710797) Summary: Possibility to specify settings on the cmd line Initial Comment: On my dad's PC I was setting up some desktop shortcuts, so he could run some MSX games directly (using openMSX). (Actually, similar to what David is doing for the cd...) It's probably something many people may do. Since my dad's PC isn't very fast, I wanted to set the settings as low as possible, to get the highest number of FPS. This means that for Rollerball, e.g. I can use screen accuracy, and maybe SDLLo. But I can't do that for Space Manbow. However, when making these 'shortcuts', I can only use the commandline. There's no way to set this up now. For this it should be possible to have a bunch of settings in an XML file that belongs to that game... This file could be passed to openMSX via the commandline. The file just contains some console commands that get executed right after starting openMSX, and thus overriding all other settings. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421864&aid=868404&group_id=38274 |
