Summary: scanlines not correct on some graphics boards

Initial Comment:
Scanlines seem to be wrong on some systems. E.g. on a
Radeon 7200 (max. texture size 512) and a Matrox
Millennium G450DH (max. texture size 2048), I got the
effect that is shown in the attachment. It seems to
work fine on all nVidia systems I have seen, though.
