Category: HPI Clients Group: 2.17.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Renier Morales (renierm) Assigned to: Ulich Kleber (ulikleber) Summary: Update clients to use long options and uniform format Initial Comment: Update clients to use long options and show lib version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ulich Kleber (ulikleber) Date: 2011-01-24 15:01 Message: Attached an updated patch to implement this using glib functions. The patch implements the common parsing in clients.c and as an example hpitop.c. In addition to the first patch, clients can mask options that are not applicable. All clients will be done in the same way. Man pages will also be updated to list the long options. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Ulich Kleber (ulikleber) Date: 2010-12-16 11:58 Message: The attached patch implements this using glib functions. You need at least glib 2.6 for this. client.c implements common parsing that can be used by all clients then. Please comment. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bryan Sutula (sutula) Date: 2009-01-28 20:26 Message: There wasn't time for the HP person to work on this. Throwing it open for anyone to pick up and work on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Renier Morales (renierm) Date: 2008-05-27 07:44 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=660960 Originator: YES There was some discussion this month on the ML about this.
