Subject: [Openhpi-devel] openIPMI + openHPI question =20 Hi all, I am having a problem integrating openHPI over openIPMI. The end goal is to use hpiwdt command to talk to the BMC watchdog timer. I use ipmi plugin from within openHPI layer. Problem is that BMC watchdog capability is not discovered by hpiwdt command. I am able to talk to the BMC watchdog with ipmitool command. I read in the openIPMI document (IPMI - A Gentle Introduction with OpenIPMI - Corey Minyard - August 19th, 2004) that BMC watchdog is supported only in the kernel driver, but not in the openIPMI library. Since, hpiwdt with ipmi plugin uses openIPMI library the BMC watchdog capability can't be discovered and this is what I would like to clarify.=20 I use openHPI version 2.2.0 and openIPMI 1.4.20.=20 |
