I have the offsite patient portal setup and it seems to working properly.
I am able to send a message to a provider from a test patient.
How does the provider see that message? When I click on "Messages" from within OpenEmr it displays that there is a message, and who it is from. But I cannot seem to view the message.
Any help on this???

I did click the links as indicated in the comment above. The result is a blank message form. See attached. Can you screenshot what result you get when click on the patient name. Thank you.
It does appear to be without content. However I sent the message, and the content was there. Subsequent attempts have the same result. Is this a know bug/problem? Can anyone else send a message as a patient from the portal and view it successfully from within OpenEmr?

The message is stored on OpenEMR and should show in the message center. Sounds like there is a bug on not showing message content. Can ZH confirm this? High priority bug since will effect MU2.
Regarding old messages. I don't think data is stored on the offsite portal, so if the message content does not exist within OpenEMR, then I think it's lost for good.

Clicking the patient name brings up what appears to be a blank message template. See screenshot attachment.

Hi,
I recall recently getting this to work on the demo:

Recommend seeing if it works there.

Same thing in the Demo. Has anyone gotten this to work successfully?
Ensure that configuration has been done correctly. Here is the first of ZH's series of Patient Portal tutorials:

If everything has been configured properly, there is the option of emailing ZH about your problem.
The Patient Portal mailbox may be contained within the Patient Portal module itself and not in the Message Center.
Ask ZH.
Hi ZH and all,
The message is stored on OpenEMR and should show in the message center. Sounds like there is a bug on not showing message content. Can ZH confirm this? High priority bug since will effect MU2.

OpenEMR
Seems to be working now. Thank you for the quick response and follow through on this.
To clarify. Works with new messages that are sent. Old messages remain unreadable. Going forward should be good to go.
