Does that sound accruate to you? Not quite. The LGPL will permit them to link their closed-source app with our LGPL'd library, and redistribute that under their own terms. However, if they actually want to use the source code of the library, i.e. cut and paste that code and use it in their own app, then they are in trouble, because this counts as a modification, and they are required to redistribute any modifications to our LGPL'd source. The LGPL means: - Linking closed-source code with LGPL'd objects/libraries is fine - Merging/combining closed-source source code with LGPL'd source code is likely to be a problem Is this making sense ?
