Hi guys ! We're pleased to announce that the latest version, opencity-0.0.6stable has just been released. As always, the team worked hard to push the game further. Here is the download link: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=79520&package_id=110387 Check it out, and please submit any bugs if you find them. By the way, we've decided to rewrite the whole simulation model because OpenCity can not go beyond within the current simulation model limits e.g: limited number of displayed models, electric lines can not go over the roads etc... There's also few problems that we'd like to resolve: such as XML handling, object serialization, GUI, portable OpenGL extension etc... C++ is a fantastic language but it lacks a strong Framework unlike Java and .NET. We love to code OpenCity, but we don't have enough coders to code the programming framework we need so that we can use it to build our favorite game ... You see what I mean. We're going to do some design work in the next few months before the code rewritting happens. Anyways, have fun everybody OpenCity rocks ! ;-) Duong Khang NGUYEN |
