Hi folks, i'm making some tests about decoding traffic with wireshark (last version from sources, patched to decode and analize gsm stack). I'm sending some SMS between to ME connected to my test-bts, and using the wireshark's filter (gsm_sms), i can see perfectly sms messages sent and received between the phones. But when i try to see the SMS text on TP-User-Data's field.... seems like wireshark is not able to decode it properly. Ex. The text that i sent is: "hello" On wireshark i can see... "SMS text: \302\243.@ \n" And in HEX... "01 07 00 a4 00" I thought that maybe could be the 7bit encoding as is specified from ETSI in GSM 03.38.... and i started to read better the theory... i also found this interesting website: http://www.dreamfabric.com/sms/ Do you have some hints about that?! Thank you for attention. Regards Luca |
