Hanwen, Your experiences mirror my own: Both with and without a good external clock, I can not get past the initial registration for one phone and one phone only. I looked through the log, and basically any mobile-initiated session is never seen in the BTS log and the mobile gives up. For BTS-initiated transations, you see the paging sequence repeat until timeout with no response, at which point the BTS purges the mobile from it's known connected devices. I'm not sure why, but the short of it is that I've never gotten a call or SMS through with a WBX beyond the initial registration welcome message. If you're concerned that your specific issues could be on account of a bad asterisk configuration, you can enable O.BTS to accept registration from unknown devices in the config. //AA ***Speculation Disclaimer*** I haven't done much serious testing to figure it out since I don't have an RFX at the moment (for side-by-side testing), but I am suspicious of something in the receive chain portion of the WBX driver. I know there's not too much there to go wrong, but it seems that the limiting factor is that O.BTS has a hard time "hearing" the mobile at times where you expect the mobile to speak up. When I get some free time, I'll break out the GSM testing toolkit and figure it out.
