Hi, I have been to trying to setup an openbts box for lab testing. I am trying it desperately since last couple of week but could not make it to transmit. I tried both 850 (free band in India) and 900 GSM bands and checked the transmission using the nokia dct-3 terminal logging. I thought after starting the OpenBts app, when searched manually I should see the Openbts network on the phone, but I see none with my box. To make it working , It required soldering a capacitor at c204. I did it but am not still able to receive the signals. Reference : http://www.nabble.com/on-turning-the-RFX900-to-an-RFX1800-and-back-again-td6399750.html#a6399750 The above reference mentionas that any wrong attempt in fixing the c204 can result in burning transmit amplifier. I have got few questions about it and a help on it would be higly appreciated. Here are those q's 1) Does really the transmit amplifier burns? If yes is there a way to confirm it? If it is burnt, can it be repaired? If yes how? Can I get it done using components available in the market 2) Is there a way to verify that the 1000pf capacitor is properly installed, I mean to say using the digital multimeter can I verify that the capacitor is completing the path between the transmitter and the pcb. The usrp_fft.py and usrp_printt_db.py works fine, am able to see the spikes also. I am using the 1.6 version of openbts. Any help to solve this problem would be highly appreciated and if you have got any opinion/options to make it running, please do disclose it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Sincerely, Ashish. ________________________________ Disclaimer - If you are not the intended recipient of this transmission to whom it is addressed, or have received this transmission in error, you are hereby notified that any dissemination, distribution or copying of this transmission is strictly prohibited.
