I have checked the code, as following: if (WOPT_Enable_Edge_Placement && phase == MAINOPT_PHASE) { INT count = comp_unit->Cfg()->Remove_critical_edge(); So it seems that critical edge won't exists in WOPT, if WOPT_Enable_Edge_Placement is TRUE.
