I definitely will continue to look deeper in the origin of this issue. I think it is moderately new regression. It wasn't there for sure about an year ago. Probably caused by x264 or FFMPEG options. Can you check how codectest example will work in your system? cmdline is: codectest -G "Fake/MovingBlocks" -s cif H.264 -b 1024000 -r 30 -tttt If something wrong you should see small burst of artifacts and error concealment statistics from FFMPEG. I will definitely appreciate info about how it will work for you. avcodec.h on my old system has (looks like i always go to far with updates): #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MAJOR 52 #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MINOR 97 #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MICRO 2 2011/12/7 Robert Jongbloed <ro...@vo...> > The versions of ffmpeg and x264 don’t make a lot of sense to me.**** > > ** ** > > My x264 has:**** > > ** ** > > #define X264_BUILD 102**** > > ** ** > > in it, so it looks like you have a later encoder.**** > > ** ** > > My avcodec.h file has:**** > > ** ** > > #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MAJOR 52**** > > #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MINOR 72**** > > #define LIBAVCODEC_VERSION_MICRO 2**** > > ** ** > > in it, which corresponds I know not how to the versions you have!**** > > ** ** > > I suppose all I can do is leave you to experiment as you see fit.
