Lee, It is a name thing - it is what Microsoft calls it. It doesn't matter what OS you are running on. I am on Windows XP also. The Platform SDK is what you use to compile applications for Windows; you can use it to target different OSs. For instance, you can use the latest, latest SDK to compile applications for Vista from your Windows XP system. I think Microsoft has decided to rename the SDK again. I would not get hung up trying to make sense of what Microsoft calls things. ;-) |
