Category: Documentation Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Assigned to: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Summary: ooDialog - get method incorrectly documented Initial Comment: The ooDialg incorrectly documents the 'get' method as returning the window handle of the dialog. In fact the get method returns the handle of the most recently created dialog. The 'getSelf' method is the correct method to use when the programmer wants to get the window handle of the dialog instance. But, this method has never been documented. In addition, a number of examples in the docs use the get method when they should be using the getSelf method. If there is only one dialog created by an application, then of course the window handle of the most recently created dialog and the handle of the dialog instance are the same. However, as soon as more than one dialog is created, the current documentation becomes misleading. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=1803673&group_id=119701 |
