When building on Windows, the build fails when it goes to build the API samples if you don't have your environment INCLUDE variable set such that the compiler can find rexx.h: Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 6.00.8168.0 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1988-1998. All rights reserved. cl callrxnt.c /nologo /D:_X86_ /DWIN32 /W3 -c -G3 /I. callrxnt.c callrxnt.c(55) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'rexx.h': No such file or directory NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'cl' : return code '0x2' Stop. It's easy enough to fix of course. But, buildorx.bat currently reads this way: REM *** API samples REM @ECHO Building API Samples.. set LIB=%LIB%;%OR_OUTDIR% set INCLUDE=%INCLUDE%;%OR_OUTDIR% rem set INCLUDE=%INCLUDE%;%OR_OUTDIR%;%OR_ORYXAWSRC% %OR_ORYXAWSRC% points to the correct location for rexx.h in the source tree. Is there a reason why that set statement is commented out? If someone goes to build on Windows for the first time and did not already have Object or Open Object REXX installed, it is likely that the build will fail at this point. Is there some problem with using the second 'set INCLUDE' instead of the first? -- Mark Miesfeld mie...@ac... |
