Mark, make install and make rpm did not do the trick either. So I went back and looked at where the doc said the libraries should be (opt/ooRexx/lib/ooRexx), and LO, they weren't there! Then I started at the root and did a little poking around. I found the libraries in /usr/lib/ooRexx. Once I had gleaned that bit of information, I could properly set LD_LIBRARY_PATH and then everything worked, smooth as glass. Thanks to you and David for your help.
