Category: External Functions >Group: Next Release Status: Pending Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Dave Woodman (dave_woodman) Assigned to: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Summary: Amendment to socket.cls - select method Initial Comment: ooress: 4.0.1 64bit Platform: Windoews 7 64bit method select in socket.cls build stems of socket names by invoking method s for each socket in the passed array. Unfortunately, methof s is undefined. The methd works correctly if string is invoked instead of s Thus, socket.cls lines 567 to 577 become do i = 1 to reads~items reads.i = reads[i]~string end writes.0 = writes~items do i = 1 to writes~items writes.i = writes[i]~string end excepts.0 = excepts~items do i = 1 to excepts~items excepts.i = excepts[i]~string end ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Date: 2010-09-11 08:14 Message: Committed revision 6182. 4.1.0 merge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rick McGuire (bigrixx) Date: 2010-09-02 09:55 Message: We're more likely to get bug reports that just say "rexx crashed" without even giving us a means to recreate the problem. We REALLY appreciate users who not only take the time to give us good bug reports, but also spend time debugging the problem! Let me echo Mark's thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dave Woodman (dave_woodman) Date: 2010-09-02 09:48 Message: It would have been silly not to submit the fix! Dave. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Mark Miesfeld (miesfeld) Date: 2010-08-28 08:20 Message: Committed revision 6136. Thanks Dave. The development team appreciates people taking the time to open bug reports. Even better when you debug the problem ahead of time. <grin> I took a look at it, your fix looks good. The socket class uses an instance variable 's' to hold the socket descriptor and I think this was just a typo. As you noted the socket class provides the 'string' method to return the socket descriptor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=3054788&group_id=119701 |
